The Green Bay Packers are not out of it just yet after a 24-12 win over the Los Angeles Rams, according to Aaron Rodgers. Mathematically, the Packers are just 1.5 games behind the Washington Commanders for the final NFC Wild Card spot with three games left. With games at the Dolphins and home against the Vikings and Lions, there’s a path for Green Bay to sneak into the postseason.

“Well, it’s three now,” Rodgers said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. “We’ve got two. Got two in the bag. I don’t know. Look, before the Bears week, we knew we had a bye afterwards, and those of us who sometimes peek ahead knew that we had to win five and then have a lot of things go our way. So, we’ve won two and just about everything we needed to happen has gone our way. Just about, right? So, things are looking up.”

Rodgers and the Packers beat Chicago 28-19 prior to the bye week after losing two straight to the Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles. But as he pointed out, a win plus a week off could do wonders for a team down the stretch.

“I mean, they’re all good football teams,” Rodgers said of the upcoming schedule. “Miami’s playing for the playoffs. Minnesota’s obviously division winners and coming off a big win. Detroit’s won, what, six out of seven; they’re playing really well. So it’s going to be three difficult games. Two of them are at home against dome teams. It’ll be January for those two.

“We’ve notoriously been pretty good in those games over the years. So this one (versus the Dolphins) is really important because it’s on the road. They obviously have a really high-powered offense. They’ve been a little up and down the last few weeks. Maybe we’re catching them at a good time. We’ll see.”

It was not a perfect game for Rodgers Monday night, but he did enough in the passing game against the Rams. He went 22-of-30 passing for 229 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The run game highlighted the night with Aaron Jones running 17 times for 90 yards and AJ Dillon ran 11 times for 36 yards and two touchdowns.

Rodgers played at an extremely high level over the last two years but came up short in the playoffs. While the stats haven’t quite been there in 2022, Rodgers still has 3,093 yards, 23 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 64.9% completion percentage.

The Packers (6-8) travel and take on the Dolphins (8-6) Sunday on Christmas Day at 1:00 p.m. ET.
