Aaron Rodgers walked off the field at Lambeau for perhaps the final time as the Green Bay Packers’ season ended with a 20-16 loss to the Detroit Lions.

If Rodgers actually does walk away, his entire career being with the Packers, he’ll go down as a Green Bay legend. But there are things that he’ll miss about being the quarterback of the storied franchise, should he walk away.

In typical Rodgers fashion, he answered the question with a bit of a joke, some clever lines and then ultimately a sentimental response.

“I’m gonna miss your questions,” Rodgers said with a smile. “Mike Clemens taking 10 seconds to do a lead up and Pete angling for something and Bob writing stories about my personal life. (You’ve) been good lately though. And Jason bringing it back home with something that kind of heavy hitting. Stephanie Sutton coming out of left field. Good question. I’ll miss the guys. I’ll miss the fans. Thank you.”

In the end, Rodgers has a decision to make and it could be a franchise altering one for the Packers.

“It’s a feeling,” Rodgers said of what it’ll come down to at some point this offseason, which he promised wouldn’t drag out. “Do I feel like I have anything left to prove to myself? Do I want to go back and gear up for another grind? Or is it time? Is it time to step away? Is it time for another voice to be leading this team?

“I think I need to get away and contemplate those things. Those are real to me. I have a lot of pride in what I’ve accomplished in this league but I’m also a realist and I understand where we’re at as a team. We’re a young team, there could be some changes with some of the older guys and it could be time to step away. But I could take some time and say hell no, man, I need to get back out there and go on another run. But I’ll have to see what it feels like once I’m away from it.”

After back to back MVP years, Rodgers took a step back statistically in 2022, but still put up solid numbers. He finished the year with 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and a 64.6% completion percentage.

Rodgers has huge career numbers. Since 2005, Rodgers has 59,055 yards, 475 touchdowns, 105 interceptions and a 65.3% completion percentage.

Rodgers won his lone Super Bowl in 2010, leading the Packers as No. 6 seeded wild card team on the road and eventually a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV.
