The ACC on Monday released the television schedules and networks for the slate of games on Oct. 23 — Week 8 of ACC football action — which will kick off as early as Saturday afternoon.

The time of opening kickoff, as well as the networks on which each game will be broadcasted, is listed below in order of start time. Times are displayed in Eastern Standard Time.

No. 16 Wake Forest at Army, 12:00 p.m. CBS Sports Network

Wake Forest will look to continue on its incredible 6-0 start, one that no one saw coming, and extend its lead atop the ACC. With a 4-0 ACC record, Wake Forest joins only N.C. State as the last undefeated conference teams; however, unlike N.C. State, Wake Forest is undefeated not just in ACC play but in overall play, too, winning its nonconference slate.

UMass at Florida State, 12:00 p.m., ACC Network

It took way longer than anyone expected, but Florida State has finally notched wins No. 1 and 2 in the ACC, beating Syracuse and UNC in back-to-back weeks. Now, Florida State has a bye before returning to nonconference play, where it should have absolutely no issue against UMass, which just won its first game since 2019.

Syracuse at Virginia Tech, 12:30 p.m., RSN

Syracuse took a ranked, undefeated Wake Forest team to the ropes in its last ACC contest, losing just 40-37 in overtime. It will face Clemson before it faces Virginia Tech, and the Hokies will look to get back in the win column this week against Pitt.

Clemson at Pitt, 3:30 p.m., ABC or ESPN (network designation announced after Week 7)

Clemson has crashed back down to post-Trevor Lawrence reality in 2021, losing to Georgia and N.C. State to tally two early-season losses. Clemson still has not lost in October, however, and against Syracuse and Pitt it will look to continue that streak through ACC play.

Boston College at Louisville, 4:00 p.m., ACC Network

For a while, Boston College had joined fellow ACC newcomer Wake Forest in bursting onto the scene in 2021. However, its season was dealt a reality check on Oct. 2, when it lost to Clemson. Before facing Louisville, the Eagles will face the second-best ACC team in terms of record, hosting a No. 22 N.C. State team.

N.C. State at Miami, 7:30 p.m., ESPN1 or ESPNU (network designation announced after Week 7)

No. 22 N.C. State shouldn’t have any issues this weekend at Boston College, and it could very well head into another ACC contest at Miami after having jumped again in the AP polls. Miami, by comparison, will have to get past North Carolina first.

Georgia Tech at Virginia, 7:30 p.m., ACC Network

For a while, it looked like Georgia Tech — a program that played Clemson close, then routed UNC — was trending upwards. However, it soon became clear that the two former ACC powers were just not the teams they were last season, as Georgia Tech was crushed by Pitt. Now, the Yellow Jackets have a bye before heading to face Virginia.
