No high-profile recruiting trip to the state of California appears to be complete without a stop at Mount Miguel High to visit with five-star athlete Brandon Arrington.

The do-it-all 6-footer has commanded the attention of just about every big-name college football program. As he continues to work through his recruitment, he’s spending time with plenty of the top staffs in the nation.

This weekend, Arrington is set to be in Tuscaloosa to visit Alabama. Before that trip, Bama head coach Kalen DeBoer made the cross-country trip to see the priority target on Monday:

Arrington has been on campus in T-Town before, though Alabama hasn’t been mentioned as consistently as others near the top of the pack in his process. He’ll get another look at the SEC power in the coming days as it battles the likes of Oregon, Texas A&M and USC.

California treated the Tide well in the 2025 cycle, as they signed seven prospects from the state last month. Headlining that group is Mission Viejo five-star cornerback Dijon Lee and Santa Ana Mater Dei four-star CB Chuck McDonald, two players who could set a path for Arrington to follow down the road.

“My visit was great. We ate some good food and went on a scavenger hunt. I was with some top players and Alabama commits like Chuck McDonaldDijon Lee and Keelon Russell,” Arrington told On3’s Chad Simmons after a visit to Bama last summer. “Knowing that Chuck McDonald and Dijon Lee are two athletes from California, that shows me that they’re actually recruiting California. Alabama is big on recruiting California kids, so that is big for me.”

Arrington visited Oregon over the weekend and promptly locked in an official visit date with the Ducks. Bama will hope it leaves a big enough impression on the five-star this weekend so that it follows a similar path as the Big Ten program.

“Oregon has great facilities, the people around me were just cool people, I loved the coaching staff and everything on this visit. Oregon is one of the top schools on my list,” Arrington told Simmons.

Arrington is the No. 8 overall prospect and top-ranked athlete in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in California.

Alabama has just one pledge in its 2026 class to date. Gadsden (Ala.) City four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson committed on Christmas Eve last month.
