Alabama transfer center Seth McLaughlin is expected to visit Ohio State this weekend, a source tells On3.

While he’s not on campus yet, he’s expected to visit Columbus and arrive as early as Thursday afternoon, the source tells On3. He’s played in 36 career games and made 25 starts with the Crimson Tide. McLaughlin also has experience at guard.

Snapping issues plagued the center in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Monday in the Tide’s 27-20 overtime loss to Michigan. The senior started all 14 games this season for Alabama and arguably had his best performance of the season against Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.

The news comes after the Ohio State offensive line struggled in the Cotton Bowl last week, allowing four sacks. Troy transfer offensive lineman Derrick Graham was in Columbus on Wednesday.

A native of Buford, Ga., McLaughlin was rated as a 3-star recruit in the 2020 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The now 6-foot-4, 305-pound senior was considered the nation’s No. 24 interior offensive lineman and 441st-best overall player in his recruiting class.
