Converse (Texas) Judson four-star wide receiver Anthony Evans chose Brent Venables and Oklahoma over Georgia in August.

The 5-foot-10, 155-pounder’s recruitment came down to those two, with both jockeying back and forth in the final days before he announced for the Sooners. Georgia, however, remained in contact with him, and wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon continued to press for his flip.

With the Sooners’ early-season offensive struggles and Georgia’s ascent to the No. 1 ranking nationally, the momentum shifted to the Bulldogs. He took an unofficial visit to Athens last weekend as Georgia knocked off Tennessee, the prospects for his flip became more apparent.

And now, following a pair of expert picks from On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman and InsideTexas’ Gerry Hamilton, the Bulldogs are trending to land him in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

The RPM now gives Georgia a 56.1 percent chance to poach Evans away, with the Sooners’ odds at holding onto him now at 41.8 percent.

Evans is the No. 259 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 35 wide receiver and the No. 48 player in the state of Texas.
