4-star TE Xavier Tiller takes Auburn official visit

Auburn is in the final three for Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star tight end Xavier Tiller. This weekend, the Tigers got the 6-foot-5, 215-pounder down to The Plains for an official visit.
It’s the second of three OVs for the former Texas A&M commit. Tiller visited Alabama last weekend and will head to Tallahassee next weekend for an official at Florida State. These June OVs will be crucial as Tiller looks to make another decision.
No program has been mentioned in Tiller’s recruitment more than Auburn this year. Before he decommitted from Texas A&M, the Tigers picked up momentum in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. He quickly locked in his Auburn OV after coming back on the board.
“Auburn for sure is one of my top schools,” Tiller told On3’s Chad Simmons at the end of March. “Coach Ben (Aigamaua)and coach Freeze are on me hard. Coach Ben is on me every day. He talks about needing me and not just wanting me. Coach Freeze is pushing harder now too.”
Tiller is the No. 222 overall prospect and No. 11 TE in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 22 player in Georgia.
“Whoever gets my heart will get me,” Tiller said. “Development is important too, but I am big on relationships.”
Tiller plays for one of the top high school football programs in the Peach State. Catching more than 50 passes across his last two seasons, Tiller has played a key role for Langston Hughes and will be a top target once again this fall. The Panthers won 13 games last season and finished as the No. 6 team in Georgia, per the On3 Composite Rankings.

Auburn trying to fight off flips this summer
The Tigers are getting top prospects on campus, but they’ve landed just a pair of commitments this calendar year. They are also trying to keep some of their top pledges in the mix.
Douglasville (Ga.) Douglas County four-star wide receiver Devin Carter has been pledged since January, but he is a Florida State legacy and is back in Tallahassee this weekend. Mobile (Ala.) Cottage Hill Christian four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle has taken official visits to Georgia, Michigan and Baylor.
Oxford (Ala.) Central four-star LB JaMichael Garrett, Huntsville (Ala.) Jemison four-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris and Boynton Beach (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star WR Denairius Gray are also being pursued heavily by other programs. For now, though, they all remain in the mix for Auburn.
The class to date features seven commits and ranks No. 13 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Freeze is looking to ink a third-straight top-10 class this winter, and winning a recruitment like Tiller’s will be crucial as they push forward this summer.
