Brady Quinn hasn’t been shy about a particular Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback who continues to prevail, despite this being his first season as a full-time college starter.

After another astonishing performance against a defense that has been compared to the best units in history, Quinn has made his final decision for the player who will join the elite Heisman fraternity.

“He’s going to be joining you guys little fraternity in a couple weeks. I’m just saying,” Quinn said on Bryce Young during SEC title highlights.

Charles Woodson, the 1997 Heisman Trophy winner, immediately agreed with Brady Quinn’s sentiment.

“Every year, they just keep loading up with weapons but Bryce Young had Heisman moments today.” Charles Woodson co-signing the point

Young finished the night with 421 passing yards alone, while adding three touchdowns through the air. The dual-threat signal-caller added another 40 yards on the ground, with a rushing touchdown to cap off arguably the biggest win of his young career.

In 13 starts, Bryce Young has 3,901 passing yards, 40 touchdowns and just four interceptions. His total QBR of 88.9 ranks second in the nation.

Brady Quinn knew Bryce Young would be key reason for upset

Earlier this week, the FOX analyst joined the Dan Patrick Show and was asked of all the underdogs in Saturday’s slate, which team had the best chance to pull off the upset.

Quinn didn’t hesitate by choosing Alabama over Georgia, specifically because of their two-star players.

“They’ve got a couple absolute stars,” Brady Quinn said of the Alabama Crimson Tide. “I’d be remised if I didn’t mention Will Anderson. Will Anderson is getting overshadowed against Georgia because the Georgia defense is so good.”

The rivals are the only two SEC squads who allow less than 300 yards per game at this point in the season. When it comes to stopping the run? Georgia gives up just 78.9 yards per outing while the Crimson Tide allow just 80.7 yards per game.

“They are second to Georgia in almost every category and he’s been the big reason why,” Brady Quinn said about Anderson and the Alabama Crimson Tide defense.

The other star?

Quinn believes quarterback Bryce Young has the ability to change games and hide the weaknesses of the Alabama offense.

“Bryce Young really makes up for a lot of their issues up front. Whether it’s schematically or just mismatches – and this will be a tough one for them –but every single week he makes some throws and plays that you just know nobody else is doing this in college football.

“Georgia is the team going into this championship weekend you could put on upset alert, just because of the stars the Alabama Crimson Tide have.”

Brady Quinn was on to something as both players had incredible performances in an SEC Championship upset almost nobody predicted.
