More than 80 percent of the nation’s top 2024 prospects are already off the board as we into the second week of August, but there are still a number of top uncommitted recruits weighing their options. While the pickings are slim at positions like quarterback, multiple five-star defensive linemen have yet to make a commitment. And 11 of the nation’s 32 five-star recruits are still unaccounted for.

With a number of key commitments coming up as the high school football season kicks off, here’s a look at the top uncommitted recruits at every offensive position:

QB: 4-star Trever Jackson

School: Winter Garden (Fla.) Jones
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 344
The Skinny: Trever Jackson is one of the last remaining uncommitted quarterbacks in this class, and earned a handful of new offers this summer. Missouri and Pittsburg looked to be in prime position back in June, but the Tigers took another QB commitment. Ole Miss, Oklahoma and others have entered the race for the four-star, but the Rebels have momentum after getting him on campus at the end of July for an unofficial visit.

RB: 4-star Caden Durham

School: Duncanville (Texas)
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 105
The Skinny: Thursday is decision day for four-star running back Caden Durham, and all signs point to him heading south to LSU. The Tigers have been a consistent force in his recruitment, and they took a major step forward when Oklahoma landed fellow four-star running back Taylor Tatum last month.

WR: Five-Star Plus+ Micah Hudson

School: Temple (Texas) Lake Belton
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 6
The Skinny: The nation’s No. 2 wide receiver, Micah Hudson, has been largely quiet on the recruiting front since taking his official visit in June to Texas Tech. He canceled his official visit to Texas, and the buzz has been around the Red Raiders ever since. Rumors circled that he could commit in late June or July, but he still remains on the board. Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama and others are still involved.

TE: 4-star Tayvion Galloway

School: Pickerington (Ohio) Central
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 309
The Skinny: In June, LSU and four-star Tayvion Galloway parted ways, with him announcing his decommitment from the Tigers. He took official visits to Purdue, Syracuse and UCF later in June, and those three look to be the biggest contenders to land him right now. He also has an official visit planned to Colorado this fall and could get back to LSU.

OT: 5-star Brandon Baker

School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 22
The Skinny: In June, Brandon Baker named his top 10 schools, a list that included Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Washington. As we enter the high school season, the main contenders are considered to be Oregon, Texas, Ohio State and Nebraska, which will host him for an official visit in September. The Ducks currently hold the lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

IOL: 4-star Grant Brix

School: Logan (Iowa) Logan-Magnolia
2024 On3 Industry Ranking: No. 76
The Skinny: It’s shaping up to be a Midwest battle for elite offensive lineman Grant Brix. He took a handful of official visits in June, but it was Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Nebraska who got him on campus the last weekend in July. He told HuskerOnline that he feels comfortable at all three of those schools and can’t make a wrong decision.

“I figured out that all three schools have some great people there and that there really isn’t a wrong decision in this situation,” Brix said. “It’s looking more and more like I will make a commitment before the season.”
