Sioux Center (Iowa) three-star tight end Carson Bruhn has narrowed his list of top schools down to three. That list includes Kansas, Kansas State and Minnesota.

Bruhn is the No. 787 overall prospect and No. 36 tight end in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Iowa.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Kansas State as the heavy favorite to land a commitment from Bruhn at 92.4%.

Bruhn has visited each school three times with the most recent visits coming earlier this month. He visited Minnesota on March 1, Kansas on March 2 and Kansas State on March 9.

“[The visits] were all pretty close,” Bruhn told On3 following the Kansas State visit. “I think the Kansas schools were a little better because the campus has a better college feel.

“All three schools are close, have great coaches and have a base culture. I think K-State and Kansas are above Minnesota as of now.”

Bruhn also noted that the way Kansas and Kansas State run their offenses stands out to him.

“They use more 12 personnel and I’ve really connected with coaches from both,” Bruhn noted. “Plus, K-State was the first school to recruit me and KU was my first Power Five offer.”

Bruhn currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $15.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
