WATCH: Christian Barmore imitates Jaylen Waddle's signature celebration

Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore gave a nod to his former Alabama teammate Jaylen Waddle in Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins. After a big defensive play, Barmore was seen waddling with his arms to his sides like a penguin.
The move is one that Waddle has pulled several times in the past, so it’s no coincidence that Barmore decided to copy it Sunday. Barmore ultimately got the last laugh in the matter as well, as New England defeated the Dolphins 23-21.
Waddle still had a solid individual performance, catching three-of-five targets for 52 yards in the loss. Barmore ended the contest with three total tackles, one sack and four QB hits.
Jaylen Waddle and Christian Barmore were teammates at Alabama for two seasons in 2019 and 2020, winning a national championship together in the latter season. They were both drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, with Waddle being taken sixth overall and Barmore a second round pick.

Now AFC East rivals, they split their contests against each other this season, with the Dolphins winning in Week 1.
Jaylen Waddle’s touchdown celebration from last season
Miami Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle lived up to his name with this creative touchdown celebration last season against Carolina. After a nine-yard touchdown reception, the former Alabama receiver stuck his arms at his sides and began to waddle like a penguin.
Drafted sixth overall in 2021, Waddle has made quite the impression thus far in his first two seasons. This year, he is Miami’s second-leading receiver with 67 catches for 1,260 yards and eight touchdowns.
