ACC

Florida State DC Adam Fuller
The buzz:
Florida State held Syracuse to 160 yards and 1-of-11 on third down in a 38-3 win over the Orange.

Big 12

TCU DC Joe Gillespie
The buzz:
TCU limited Texas to 199 yards, its lowest yardage total since 2015, in a 17-10 win over the then-No. 18 Longhorns. Texas had just 28 rushing yards. The Longhorns’ lone touchdown came on a fumble return.

Kansas State DC Joe Klanderman
The buzz:
Kansas State had two interceptions and held Baylor to its lowest scoring output in the past two seasons in a 31-3 win over the Bears. Baylor managed just one field goal in three trips to the red zone, and finished with 306 total yards.

Big Ten

Penn State DC Manny Diaz
The buzz:
Penn State had seven sacks and allowed just 134 yards in a 30-0 win over Maryland. The Terps had just 27 total yards (on 27 plays) in the first half.

Pac-12

Washington OC Ryan Grubb
The buzz:
Washington rolled up 522 yards in a 37-34 upset of then-No. 6 Oregon. The Huskies, who scored 24 points in the second half, averaged 9.2 yards per play.

Tennessee OC Alex Golesh
The buzz:
Tennessee racked up a school-record 724 yards in a 66-24 win over Missouri, which entered the game ranked fourth in the SEC in scoring defense (21.4 ppg).

Florida DC Patrick Toney
The buzz:
Florida recorded three takeaways (all of them in a four-play span in the second half) and held South Carolina to 237 yards in a 38-6 win over the Gamecocks. South Carolina’s TD came on a fake punt.

MAC

Kent State DC Jeremiah Johnson
The buzz:
Kent State tallied three takeaways and stopped Bowling Green on all six of its fourth down attempts during a 40-6 rout of the Falcons. BG averaged just 3.9 yards per play (311 total yards on 80 plays).

C-USA

Western Kentucky DC Tyson Summers
The buzz:
Western Kentucky had six takeaways, including a fumble that was returned for a touchdown, during a 45-10 win over Rice.
