Action Network releases early bowl projections, CFP field

The Action Network released its early bowl projections and College Football Playoff field this week. With the 2023 season approaching, it’s never too early to look ahead.

As far as the College Football Playoff semifinals are concerned, there are some familiar faces in the matchups. Namely, two teams from last season are back, according to the projections.

Michigan and Georgia make it back, but who will those squads face?

According to Brett McMurphy, Michigan will take on Florida State in the Rose Bowl and Georgia takes on Washington in the Sugar Bowl.

The rest featured are LSU versus Penn State in the Peach Bowl, Oregon against Tulane in the Fiesta Bowl, Texas Tech taking on Alabama in the Cotton Bowl and Clemson against Ohio State in the Orange Bowl.

Safe to say, that’s quite the field for the New Year’s Six. But it also brings in some new blood onto the College Football Playoff stage this coming season.
