Each Sunday, On3 takes a look at some interesting stats you should know coming out of that week’s games. Here are 14 from Week 9.

0: Georgia, which kept Florida scoreless through three quarters of a 34-7 win, now has held six of its first eight opponents without a touchdown through at least three quarters. In quarters 1-3 this season, the Bulldogs’ defense has scored as many touchdowns as it has allowed (two).

3: Three previously unbeaten teams lost — No. 6 Michigan to No. 8 Michigan State (37-33), No. 19 SMU to Houston (44-37) and No. 21 San Diego State to Fresno State (30-20). The six remaining undefeated teams are Cincinnati, Georgia, Michigan State, Oklahoma, UTSA and Wake Forest.

4: For a brief period Saturday, it looked as if Kansas State DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah had tied an FBS record with six sacks during a 31-12 win over TCU. That changed, though, when his sack total was lowered to four because of a weird NCAA rule that doesn’t count a play as a sack if the quarterback fumbles and the ball is recovered beyond the line of scrimmage. That happened on two Anudike-Uzomah strip-sacks Saturday.

5: Michigan State RB Kenneth Walker III ran for five touchdowns and 197 yards during the Spartans’ 37-33 win over Michigan. The five touchdown runs were the most ever by a Wolverines opponent and 37 points are the most Michigan State has scored against Michigan in a regulation game.

6: Oklahoma QB Caleb Williams threw six touchdown passes in a 52-21 win over Texas Tech. Williams became one of four quarterbacks in Oklahoma history to throw at least six touchdown passes in a game, joining Baker Mayfield (seven vs. Texas Tech in 2016), Kyler Murray (six vs. Baylor in 2018) and Landry Jones (six vs. West Virginia in 2012).

9: Houston pulled out a crazy 44-37 win over then-No. 19 SMU thanks to a 100-yard kickoff return from Marcus Jones with 17 seconds left in the game. It was Jones’ ninth career return for a touchdown, which ties at NCAA record. It was his fourth this season (two on punts and two on kickoffs), and his second kick-return TD in as many games. Jones also had an interception against SMU.

13: Michigan’s loss to Michigan State dropped Jim Harbaugh to 2-13 against top-10 opponents as the Wolverines’ coach.

17: During a 27-7 loss to Wisconsin, Iowa was held to 17 yards, zero points and one first down during the first half. It was the Hawkeyes’ second consecutive loss and second game in a row being limited to seven points; they lost 24-7 to Purdue on October 16.

20: Entering the week, there were two Power 5 teams that had yet to reach 20 points in regulation against an FBS opponent — Clemson and Arizona. Both got over the hump Saturday, the Tigers during a 30-20 win over Florida State and the Wildcats during a 41-34 loss to USC.

35: Wake Forest, which beat Duke 45-7, is the only team to score at least 35 points in every game this season. Demon Deacons QB Sam Hartman passed for 402 yards and three touchdowns, and is the first player in Wake history with four consecutive 300-yard passing games and the second with back-to-back 400-yard games, joining Rusty LaRue (1995).

254: Missouri RB Tyler Badie rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-28 win over Vanderbilt. Badie is the first player in Tigers history with three 200-yard games in a season. Devin West (1998) and Brock Olivo (1995) each had two 200-yard games in a season.

425: Miami QB Tyler Van Dyke passed for 426 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-34 win over then-No. 17 Pitt. Van Dyke, who threw for 325 yards and four scores in a win over then-No. 18 NC State in Week 8, is the first Hurricanes quarterback with at least 325 passing yards and at least three passing touchdowns in back-to-back conference games since Stephen Morris in 2012.

517: Pitt QB Kenny Pickett passed for 519 yards in the Panthers’ loss to Miami. In the past nine seasons, five ACC QBs have thrown for 500 yards in a game. They’re now a combined 1-4 in those games.

734: BYU racked up 734 yards in a 66-49 win over Virginia. It was the fourth time in BYU history that the Cougars accumulated at least 300 passing yards and at least 300 rushing yards in a single game. Since 2000, Virginia has allowed more than 632 yards in a game twice. Both have come this season — the 734 yards to BYU and 699 during a 59-39 Week 3 loss to North Carolina.
