Now that the 2022 NFL Draft is officially in the books and teams have made their picks, organizations are now offering undrafted free agent deals to a number of prospects who didn’t hear their names called during the draft – most notably the Dallas Cowboys.

While the Cowboys selected prospects such as offensive lineman Tyler Smith from Tulsa, Ole Miss defensive end Sam Williams and South Alabama wide receiver Jalen Tolbert, the team has also signed a healthy amount of players to undrafted free agent deals. According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Dallas has signed 19 players to UDFA contracts.

While all 19 undrafted free agents won’t be able to make the Cowboys’ practice squad or active roster, some of the prospects will have a chance to turn an undrafted deal into an NFL career.

Cowboys sign undrafted free agent Storey Jackson to solid contract

Storey Jackson – who was a standout linebacker at Liberty – has signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys, according to Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network.

As Wilson reports, Jackson’s deal with the Cowboys includes $65,000 guaranteed – with $60,000 of that being the linebacker’s base salary and $5,000 coming from his signing bonus.

While recording 102 total tackles last season at Liberty, Jackson also tallied seven sacks to go along with an interception – and that’s what impressed the Cowboys while they were exploring undrafted free agent options.
