Two weekends of college baseball are officially in the books. Seven teams lost their weekend series, with many more teams suffering defeats during midweek action. As a result, the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings have been shaken up.

Though three of the top four teams entering the week lost a game, the fop four remains the same in D1Baseball’s updated top 25. Previous No. 5 Texas A&M had an incredibly disappointing week, though. The Aggies lost to Lamar during midweek action and then lost two of three against Portland over the weekend. Texas A&M needed a walk-off to win on Sunday, and dropped significantly as a result of the struggles. No. 8 TCU was a big riser last week, but the Horned Frogs dropped two of three against Florida State over the weekend.

A trio of top 25 matchups headlined the weekend. No. 10 Vanderbilt took two of three against No. 17 UCLA, while No. 4 Ole Miss won two of three against No. 13 Maryland. No. 11 East Carolina came back twice against No. 12 North Carolina, winning once on Friday in Greenville and again in Chapel Hill on Sunday. Saturday’s game was scheduled to take place in Greenville, but weather resulted in a postponement to later in the year.

No. 18 Southern Miss also lost their weekend series, losing two games against Illinois. No. 25 Oregon had a disastrous second weekend, being swept at the hands of UC Santa Barbara.
