Phoenix Brophy Prep three-star wide receiver Devin Fitzgerald sees the finish line in his recruitment.

The son of legendary NFL wideout Larry Fitzgerald, Devin told Rivals on Friday that he is set to announce his commitment on July 5. He does not have a finalized list of top schools, though some crucial visits are on deck.

Fitzgerald begins his official visit schedule this weekend at UCLA. Clemson (May 30), Stanford (June 6), Notre Dame (June 13) and North Carolina (June 20) will follow. Arizona State is also set to receive an OV at some point.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder is the No. 504 overall prospect and No. 79 WR in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Arizona.

Fitzgerald is coming off a busy spring that saw him log visits to many of the programs he’ll return to in the coming weeks. Clemson, Michigan, UNC, UCLA, Arizona State and Stanford each had him on campus throughout March and April.

Fitzgerald broke out during his junior season at Brophy, catching 52 passes for 720 yards and nine touchdowns. He was a key member of an offense that helped lead the Broncos to a 10-3 season. Brophy finished as the No. 6 team in the state, according to the On3 Composite Rankings.

“I’ve been putting in a lot of work this offseason,” Fitzgerald told Blue & Gold earlier this month after landing his Notre Dame offer. “I’ve been working out in the gym and doing speed work Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Then, routes Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. I’ve been focusing on my recovery, trying to become the best version of myself. Reaching new levels and heights with my athleticism. That’s what Notre Dame saw.”

At the end of April, On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons provided an updated on Fitzgerald’s recruitment:

“Two strong players are North Carolina and Stanford,” Simmons wrote. “We expect the wide receiver out of Phoenix (Ari.) Brophy Prep to take trips to Chapel Hill and Palo Alto. There is some buzz around the program in California, but the staff on the east coast with a lot of NFL experience has the Tar Heels in the mix. Michigan, UCLA and others are in the mix too.”
