Dallas (Texas) Pinkston four-star shooting guard Dink Pate has signed a two-year deal with G-League Ignite. Pate will also reclassify from the 2024 class to 2023.

Pate is the No. 33 overall prospect and No. 9 shooting guard in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Texas.

On3 rates Pate higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. On3 ranks the 6-foot-7, 180-pounder as the No. 18 overall prospect, No. 5 shooting guard and No. 2 player in Texas.

Pate was one of the highest risers following On3’s updated rankings earlier this month going from No. 37 to No. 18.

According to a report from ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Pate’s deal makes him the youngest American professional basketball player ever.

Pate currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $55K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
