Elijah Crawford is the No. 53 player in the 2024 On3 150. The 6-foot-2 lead guard is the No. 152 ranked player in the 2024 On3 Consensus, an unbiased algorithm that takes the average ranking of the four major scouting services.

“I’m a guard who can score and get my teammates involved,” Crawford told On3. “Every day is a battle, playing at this level. I’m getting better every day, and I’m pushing my teammates, and they’re pushing me. I watch a lot of Donovan Mitchell, the way he comes off ball screens and his mid-range game.”

After leading his TSF team in scoring with 13.4 points per game on Nike’s EYBL 16u Circuit this Summer, the On3 four-star guard transferred to Greenville (SC) Legacy Early College to play on the NIBC this season. On3 caught up with Elijah Crawford to talk about his recruitment.

“I haven’t set any official visits yet,” Crawford said. “I’ve taken unofficals to LSU, South Carolina, and Georgia. I’m looking at Boston College to try and set a visit soon.”

Crawford talks recruitment

LSU: “The coach there really loves his guards. If I do decide to go there, they’re telling me I can come in and be a factor.”

Georgia: “Mike White lets his guards play. Their offense, the play fast-paced and take advantage of opportunities to get out in transition. I hung out with some of the players at a football game. The love the fans give them really stood out.”

South Carolina: “They want me to come in and be the guy. Coach (Lamont) Paris loves his guards; he lets his guards rock out. I went for a football game, and that atmosphere was crazy. It was a packed game; it was loud, and that place was crazy, for sure.”

Boston College: “Earl Grant stands out to me. He is someone I can relate to, and he’s a great guy. I think he’s a great coach, too, and I like what he has in store.”

“I’ve heard from Clemson. We’ve talked to Virginia and Wake Forest here and there,” Crawford said. “They could all be close to offering.”

In Elijah’s words

“I’m going to be looking at who can get me to the next level,” Crawford said. “I want to come in and develop, get coached hard, and have a chance to come in and play as a freshman. I can play on the ball or off the ball, so I won’t really be looking at that. Mainly, I’ll look at development.”
