Elite 2024 DL Justin Scott names top 8

Four-star defensive lineman Justin Scott of Chicago (IL) St. Ignatius High narrowed his list to 8 schools— Miami, Michigan, USC, Alabama, Notre Dame, Colorado, Oregon, and Ohio State.
The 6’5 315 pounder quickly discussed his finalists.
Miami-being able to be a program changer
Michigan-know how to develop dlineman
USC-the opportunities they have to provide outside of being able to make a impact immediately
Bama-being able to be coached by the best and developed
Notre Dame-being able to play high caliber football with high caliber education
Colorado-with them rebuilding I can be a impact player and get involved immediately
Oregon-them being able to develop Kayvon Thibodeaux makes me interested to how they could develop me.

Justin Scott Scouting Summary
“Naturally-gifted defensive tackle with rare movement skills at 6-foot-5, 310 pounds. One of the more unique jumbo athletes early on in the 2024 cycle. A twitchy, explosive athlete who runs like a much smaller player. Chases down plays from the back side and runs sideline-to-sideline with ease. A loose, fluid mover with natural flexibility. Shows his natural explosion as a finisher. New to football, playing his first season at the varsity level as a sophomore. Has a background as a soccer and basketball player. Will need to continue developing from a technical aspect, particularly with his hands. Rapid ascension and quick improvement point to a high ceiling.”
Scott ranks as the No. 20 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 3 defensive lineman and the No. 1 player in the state of Illinois.
