Elite 2025 cornerback Jaboree Antoine of New Iberia (LA) Westgate High announced his commitment to LSU Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 180 pounder chose the Tigers over Texas and Tennessee.

“LSU was great, as soon as I stepped foot in the facility I felt that family vibe and that’s exactly what it felt like talking with the coaches and getting to know everyone. LSU preached and was big on elite and leadership. That’s their standard which I feel is perfect. Just hired great coaching staff and will get the chance to be developed by one of the best Corey Raymond who has ties from where I’m from and knows what it takes to overcome the challenges that’s thrown at you. I’m just blessed to be in a position where I can play for my home state and bring back the LSU I know. I am a great player but most importantly I’m going to work hard for any and everything I want. Since young I worked for everything I wanted, my work ethic never been a question and I believe what Coach Kelly is building will be special and I’m blessed to be part of it.

The Bayou State defensive back joins coach Brian Kelly and the Tigers’ top 2025 class. He is accompanied by five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, five-star running back Harlem Berry, and others.

Scouting Summary

On3’s Scouting and Rankings Team writes about him as a college recruit:

“Long-bodied versatile defensive back prospect with tremendous cover skills and ability to break up passes at the catch point. Measured in at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds during summer campus visits. Smooth in his back pedal and transitions. Very comfortable in man coverage, sticky defender. Excellent field vision and ability to break to the football once the quarterback pulls the trigger. Unverified long speed but is a smooth mover with twitch that can play as a center field safety. Also displays impressive movement skills when playing quarterback for his high school team as well. Willing tackler when working downhill but not overly violent. Verified top-end speed could assist in determining his ceiling but has an extremely high floor regardless.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $81K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
