Elite edge rusher Jake Kreul locks in official visits

IMG Academy (Fla.) four-star EDGE Jake Kreul is one of the nation’s most coveted pass-rushers in the 2026 class, with more than 30 offers to his name.
After taking a long lost of spring visits, he is ready to take the next step in his recruitment and has locked in five official visits that he will take this summer, he tells On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
On the list are Colorado (May 2), Ohio State (May 30), Florida (June 7), Texas (June 13), and Oklahoma (June 20).
The 6-foot-2.5, 220-pounder is the No. 36 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 6 EDGE and the No. 3 recruit in Florida.
Kruel transferred from Bishop Moore in Orlando to IMG for his final two seasons of high school football. As a sophomore for the Hornets, he was an absolute menace to offensive lines. Along with 76 total tackles, he notched 34 tackles for loss and a whopping 17 sacks.

Playing alongside tons of Division I talent at IMG, he still managed to total 39 tackles, six sacks and 11 QB hurries in 2024. This offseason, he has been one of the most impressive performers on the camp circuit, routinely earning top performer honors.
He was one of the best underclassmen at this year’s Under Armour All-America Bowl practices, beating some of the top offensive lineman in the country in both the senior and junior classes.
“Kreul continued to show eye-catching burst and bend off the edge,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “Kreul took a rep from Five-Star Plus+ OT Immanuel Iheanacho in 1-on-1’s, using his first-step quickness to dart into the backfield. We’ve also liked his overall effort level. While Kreul will need to continue adding size and strength, we like his ability as a pure speed rusher.”
