When it comes to the recruitment of Prosper (Texas) four-star offensive tackle Ellis Davis, three schools stand out. Those three are Stanford, TCU and Texas Tech.

Davis will get the chance to see each of the three more in-depth in June as he’s set official visits to each. On June 1 Davis will visit Stanford for the first time and then will travel to Texas Tech on June 9 and TCU on June 16.

The 6-foot-6.5, 255-pounder is the No. 230 overall prospect and No. 17 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 40 player in Texas.

On3 rates Davis significantly higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, Davis is the No. 65 overall prospect in the country, the No. 9 offensive tackle and the No. 13 player in Texas.

Davis currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $58K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Texas Tech, TCU remain a constant in Davis’ recruitment

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Texas Tech sits as the favorite to land Davis at 38% with TCU following close behind at 32.6%. Stanford has the third-highest odds at 17.3%.

Stanford is the newest to join Davis’ recruitment as the Cardinal extended him an offer on March 28.

Texas Tech was the first school to extend Davis an offer last October and TCU followed shortly after with an offer a month later.

He’s visited Texas Tech three times and was last on campus in April. TCU’s hosted Davis twice with his most recent visit on Jan. 29.
