Roswell (Ga.) three-star cornerback Ethan Nation announced his commitment date on Sunday. He will be revealing a decision on Jan. 3 at the Under Armour All-America Game.

Nation is the No. 426 overall prospect and No. 44 cornerback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 41 player in Georgia.

The 5-foot-10, 162-pound defensive back is interested in multiple programs. They include Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State.

“The culture and tenacity that they bring to the table (stand out),” Nation told On3’s Jeremy Johnson about those three programs on June 9. “Alabama is Alabama. With Auburn, the one player they put in the league this year was a cornerback. That opens eyes for me. Ohio State is DBU. They have the ability to put cornerbacks in the league and make them the best.”

Meanwhile, Nation is also interested in Clemson. He took an unofficial visit to the Tigers on June 4, 2021.

“I’ve always loved Clemson, the culture is big it’s a family culture,” Nation said. “Everyone there is family. When you walk on their campus, you just feel the family environment.”

This weekend, the Georgia native taking an official visit to Nebraska. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Cornhuskers hold a close lead for Nation’s commitment at 22.9%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Nation has an On3 NIL Valuation of $32K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
