Five-star EDGE Nyckoles Harbor of Washington, D.C. Archbishop Carroll High has narrowed his list to seven schools— Michigan, USC, Miami, South Carolina, LSU, Maryland, and Georgia.

The 6-foot-6, 225 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.

Michigan

“This is my mom’s favorite school,” Harbor said. “She loves everything about it from the city to the coaching staff, and they’ve truly been on my radar since I was about 8 or 9 years old.”

USC

“Man California was a vibe and I never thought I would include a West Coast school but this school is way different than what I expected it to be,” Harbor said. “I was surprised, plus with the relationship already with Coach Riley, this wasn’t a hard decision once I finally saw the  campus.”

Miami

“When I had a chance to talk to two Hall of Fame players in the game that I love, it wasn’t hard to see that this school is different,” Harbor said. “Since the new coaching change, Miami has been recruiting me the hardest.”

South Carolina

“Coach Beamer and the Gamecocks have always had a special place in my heart,” Harbor said. “Especially when Coach Beamer was the first person I saw at the South Carolina campus when he was waiting for me and my coaches to pull up in a truck. From then me and him have hit it off from there.”

LSU

“The relationship I have with Coach Cain and the LSU track and field staff is, I’ll say, the best relationship I have with a school overall,” Harbor said. “I just love track and football there, and what they are doing on both sides and they’re always in the running for everything. It makes me feel like I can come in and make an instant impact anywhere I go.”

Maryland

“Man this is the home school right here,” Harbor said. “This is the school that’s 15 minutes away from my house, and is very special to me. To represent your homeschool in your home town would be a big privilege and honor.”

Georgia

“The hardest decision that I ever had to make was numbering down my seven schools,” Harbor said. “I’ll say this is probably one of the hardest I have made, because just seeing what the school can provide me I feel like Georgia is one of those schools that can provide me with best on and off the field opportunities.”

Nyckoles Harbor Scouting Summary

“ Has the best combination of size and speed we’ve seen from a young prospect as a national-level sprinter at 6-foot-5 and over 230 pounds,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Powers wrote. “Runs under 10.2 seconds in the 100 meters with the size and length of a premier pass rushing prospect. Plays both tight end and defensive end for his high school, but has developed into more of an EDGE prospect as a junior.”

“Shows his considerable athleticism as a pass rusher with high end closing speed. Is also able to locate and track the ball as a tight end. Still unrefined technically as a pass rusher. Productive against sub-par competition.”

Harbor ranks as the No. 6 player in the On300. He also tabs in as the No. 2 Edge and the top player in D.C.
