Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding four-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem has committed to Florida, he announced on Monday.

He chose the Gators over Cincinnati, Ole Miss and Florida State.

Chukuyem is the No. 787 overall prospect and No. 67 OT in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 86 player in Georgia.

On3 ranks Chukuyem as a four-star prospect and the No. 26 OT in the nation.

Billy Napier and the UF staff got Chukuyem to campus for an official visit over the weekend. The Gators made a big enough impact across the last couple of days to seal the deal and add another June pledge to the board in Gainesville.

“My family loves (UF),” Chukuyem told Gators Online after his OV. “They think it’s a good school. My dad is big on education. So Florida is going to be high on his list.”

Florida has soared into the top 15 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Chukuyem is commitment No. 10 for Napier and Co. this month. He’s the second OT commit of the day, flanking three-star Javarii Luckas.

Gators stay scorching hot on the recruiting trail

Florida didn’t pick up steam in the 2025 cycle until right before the Early Signing Period in December. Napier and his staff aren’t wasting time putting together an impressive pledge list this cycle.

After entering June with just two commits, UF is now up to 12 in total and has a class that ranks No. 13 nationally, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star running back Carsyn Baker, Tuskegee (Ala.) Booker T Washington four-star wide receiver Marquez Daniel and Tupelo (Miss.) four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy all pledged over the weekend. Daniel and McCoy are now the two highest-ranked commits in the class, checking in as the No. 162 and No. 163 overall prospects, respectively.

The momentum picked up on June 1 with a pledge from Ocala (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star interior offensive lineman G’Nivre Carr. Two days later, Milton (Fla.) four-star safety Kaiden Hall joined the fold. According to the On300, Hall is the No. 15 safety and No. 22 player in the Sunshine State this cycle.

Two weekends ago saw Gainesville F.W. Buchholz four-star wide receiver Justin Williams, Saint Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood three-star offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star tight end Kekua Aumua pledge. Williams is another On300 outlier, checking in at No. 150 overall and No. 18 at the receiver position.
