Florida head coach Billy Napier visits elite 2026 EDGE Trenton Henderson

A late run in the 2025 recruiting cycle helped vault Florida up to the No. 11 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. With three commitments already in the fold for the 2026 cycle, the Gators are looking to pull in another top-15 class.
Keeping Pensacola Catholic (Fla.) four-star EDGE Trenton Henderson within the borders of the Sunshine State would go a long way toward that goal. With that in mind, Florida head coach Billy Napier visited Henderson at Pensacola Catholic on Monday.
Napier was not the only coach to go see Henderson to start the week. Michigan assistant Lou Esposito and Miami assistant Jason Taylor also made appearances.
Henderson is the nationās No. 29 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking ā a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 4 edge rusher in the class and the fourth-ranked recruit from the state of Florida.
Florida offered Henderson last year.
āI talk to Coach P (Mike Peterson) a good amount,ā Henderson previously told On3. āI think heās a pretty great guy. He always shoots me straight forward. I mean, he doesnāt really sugarcoat anything to me. He really just always tells me the truth and anything I need to hear. He really doesnāt even have a message with me. Itās just we have a good relationship and he just tells me everything straightforward really. They offered me last spring and itās really just been building a relationship with all them since.ā

Henderson fresh off of Auburn visit
Auburn had several recruits on campus over the weekend, including Henderson.
āThe environment on The Plains today was very energetic!ā Henderson told On3. āWhat continues to excite me about Auburn is their coaches and how they make me feel wanted. What also is catching my eye is how their program is on the rise and headed in the right direction.ā
He was also recently offered by Alabama, and told On3 that his interest in the Tide following the offer was āreally high.ā
