Florida State 4-star QB Tramell Jones ready to compete with the best at the Elite 11 Finals

Florida State is once again going to be represented at the Elite 11 Finals, this time by Jacksonville Mandarin four-star quarterback commit Tramell Jones. The 6-foot signal-caller understands the importance of the upcoming event in Los Angeles and is excited to leave his mark in the coming days.
“It’s great. For it to be the largest quarterback fraternity there is, the amount of quarterbacks they’ve had be successful at the next level — college and the NFL,” Jones told Warchant. “Being able to experience the coaching and going through the drills. Being able to compete with other top quarterbacks around the country, I just thank God to be able to go through this process.”
Jones is ready to showcase his talent against a stacked field of competitors. He’s also ready to soak up all of the knowledge he’s about to receive and build relationships with those in attendance.
“Taking in all the information, being able to compete,” Jones said about what he’s looking forward to the most this week. “I think that’s what’s great about having all the other quarterbacks here, being able to compete with all the other peers you have. Then the top-tier coaching, being able to take in that criticism, have all the meetings and get that on-field coaching, I think that’s good.”
Jones is ‘locked in’ with FSU
Before competing in Los Angeles this week, Jones received some advice from Florida State head coach Mike Norvell. The Seminoles skipper believes in the FSU commit and knows what he’s capable of producing on the field.

“I talked to (Norvell), he was just like ‘go be me. Be me and I’ll be perfectly fine.’ That’s pretty much the message he gave me, show the world who you are,” Jones said.
The growing relationships that Jones has with Norvell, QBs coach Tony Tokarz and the entire Florida State staff is part of what keeps him rock-solid in his commitment to the in-state program. That, along with the beloved tradition that Jones is looking forward to being a part of in due time.
“The tradition. Tradition and the coaching staff. Coach Norvell, Coach Tokarz are the realest coaches I know,” Jones said. “The relationship we have together, I think is the best relationship I have with any coach on any kind of level. They’ve been on me since I was a freshman, then keeping that communication. The development at quarterback also.”
The No. 322 overall prospect and No. 26 QB in the 2025 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking, Jones remains strong with FSU.
“I feel great about it. I’m locked in with the Noles.”
