Just when you think you’ve seen it all in college sports, something happens that completely surprises you. On Wednesday evening in the Loyola-Chicago and Duquesne game, college basketball fans got another rare, unexpected occurrence. And it was pretty hilarious. With 16:10 remaining in the second half, a man delivering some food from McDonald’s from Uber Eats, walked onto the floor looking for the person to deliver the food to. The delivery stopped play for a few minutes, as they tried to get sorted out who ordered the delivery.

Check out the full breakdown by the commentators here.

This is an all-time move. And the commentators clearly enjoyed every second of it. If you wanted to see a video without the commentary, you can check that one out below as well.

It’s hilarious how close the food delivery guy came to the action on the floor, before the ref waved him off.

Simply put, you never know what’s going to happen in sports. That’s part of the beauty of it. It would be hilarious to see how exactly they were able to get the driver to deliver the food courtside in the first place. And, more importantly, what’s in the bag? That’s the most important question of the night.

The broadcast showed the delivery driver walking around the stadium with the food later, so clearly he was still trying to find who ordered it.

Loyola-Chicago currently sits at 7-13 overall and they lost to Duquesne, 72-58. The Ramblers turned the basketball over 18 times, which was a big reason they lost. Duquesne scored 22 points off turnovers as opposed to 14 for Loyola-Chicago.

Clearly, the food delivery guy has never been to a college basketball game. But, at least he provided some quality entertainment for everyone on Wednesday night. That’s simply one of the rarest sights you’ll ever see in sports. And we can only hope that whoever ordered their McDonald’s, let’s hope they finally got their order. Credit to the delivery guy for going the extra mile to try and make sure the food was delivered. That is dedication.
