WATCH: Kadarius Toney gives Kansas City first lead of Super Bowl LVII

Former Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney came up big for the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. After leaving the AFC Championship game versus the Cincinnati Bengals with an injury, Toney was activated for the Super Bowl and did not disappoint.

With Kansas City down 27-21 in the fourth quarter, Toney helped give the Chiefs their first lead of the ballgame on a 5-yard touchdown reception. Toney made a crafty pre-snap motion that sent the Philadelphia Eagles defense in disarray, leading to Toney trotting into the end zone untouched after catching a quick pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Toney was acquired by the Chiefs in a trade from the New York Giants in November, a move that Kansas City is likely elated about following his performance in the Super Bowl. On the next drive following his touchdown, Toney returned a punt for a Super Bowl-record 65 yards to the Philadelphia 5-yard line, setting up the Chiefs for another fourth quarter touchdown to extend their lead to 35-27.

FormerĀ Missouri TigersĀ linebackerĀ Nick BoltonĀ served as the equalizer in the Kansas City Chiefs in their Super Bowl LVII matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

With just under 10 minutes left in the first half and the Chiefs down 14-7, Eagles quarterbackĀ Jalen HurtsĀ fumbled the ball behind the line of scrimmage on a designed quarterback run play. With the ball bouncing all over the turf, Bolton scooped it up on the run and took it 44 yards to the house for a game-tying touchdown.

Boltonā€™s scoop and score touchdown was the first fumble returned for a touchdown in a Super Bowl since Denver Broncosā€™Ā Malik JacksonĀ in Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. Bolton led the Chiefs in tackles this regular season with 180 total tackles, setting a single-season franchise record in Kansas City. Heā€™s been making plays all season for the Chiefs, and made another big one again on Super Bowl Sunday.
