Former Oklahoma defensive back Justin Harrington has committed to Washington, he announced Tuesday on Instagram.

Harrington is moving on to Washington after spending the previous four years at Oklahoma. He started two games last season, before suffering a season-ending injury.

The Raleigh, North Carolina native originally came to the Sooners as a junior college transfer ahead of the 2020 season. He was considered one of the top JUCO prospects moving up to the FBS level during the 2020 cycle.

After redshirting his first year at Oklahoma, Justin Harrington played four games in 2021 and all 13 games in 2022. He played a pair of games in 2023 as the starter at the “Cheetah” position in the Sooners defense before sustaining a season-ending injury.

In 19 total games playing for the Sooners, Harrington had a pair of interceptions and 29 total tackles. At 6-foot-3 and around 215 pounds, Harrington brings rare size to the corner position and has the versatility to play in a more hybrid role in the box near the line of scrimmage.

Harrington played high school football at Southeast Raleigh (N.C.) High School, where he was an unrated prospect in the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Washington QB Dermaricus Davis recently entered NCAA Transfer Portal

While Washington is bringing in Justin Harrington from the transfer portal, the Huskies also recently lost a player to the portal.

Quarterback Dermaricus Davis has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal once again.

He originally entered in January but withdrew his name within a couple of days.

Davis played high school football at Etiwanda (CA) where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 266 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He finished as a Top-20 QB in the class and a Top-25 player out of the state of California. Davis was the lone quarterback commit for the Huskies in their class that finished No. 48 in On3’s 2024 Industry Team Rankings.

He was the second-highest recruit of their dozen signees. He was behind only ATH Peyton Waters, a four-star and the No. 260 recruit out of Los Angeles.
