2023 Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach defensive back Caleb Presley announced a final six consisting of Oregon, Alabama, UCLA, Michigan State, Texas A&M and Washington on Tuesday. In addition the top-100 prospect announced a commitment date of Tuesday, July 5 at 5 PM PST.

The four-star visited Texas A&M earlier this spring for the first time since camping in Aggieland last summer

This time around, Presley had the opportunity to visit with the coaches and see the Aggies in action at practice.

“What stood out was the gameplay,” he said. “Just the way that they’re playing ball. They’re fast, efficient, sometimes you don’t really see that at certain schools, but I think Texas A&M, they make it a point to make sure these guys are ready to go and give it their best.”

Presley also had an opportunity to meet with new defensive coordinator D.J Durkin for the first time.

“He was a cool dude,” he said. “Got a chance to meet him, he’s very humble, showed a lot of hospitality to me and my family while we were down there. I think Texas A&M is coming up again real soon.”

For Presley, the chance to potentially contribute early in his college career makes the Aggies especially intriguing.

“Just being able to be a small piece in a big school, making an impact early on, I want to come in and play and contribute to the team,” he said. “Me and [defensive backs coach] Coach [TJ] Rushing talked about it, I definitely have an opportunity to come play.”

Less than a week away from his decision date, the Aggies remain a contender, but no school is better positioned to land the four-star’s commitment than Oregon. The Ducks are the overwhelming favorite to land Presley per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, with a 96.8% chance at the four-star’s commitment. Alabama is another major contender to keep an eye on, as does Michigan State as the Spartans were the lone school to host him on an official visit.

Presley ranks as the No. 83 prospect and No. 8 cornerback nationally per the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The four-star has an NIL Valuation of $131K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
