Four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett of Bogart (GA) Prince Avenue Christian School narrowed his list to 7 schools Thursday morning.

The 6-foot-4, 275 pounder is down to the following: Georgia, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Alabama, USC, and Ole Miss.

Breaking down the finalists

Garrett discussed what stood out about each school with On3.

Georgia- I mean Georgia, they really speak for themselves. They show time after time that they produce high level athletes while at the same time building good people as well.

Clemson- Clemson is a great school. Ever since I visited there in the summer, they just checked boxes and proved they’re a good school. My relationship with coach Eason and coach Swinney also helps a lot.

Georgia Tech- I took a junior day visit to Georgia Tech this winter and It really surprised me. It opened my eyes to a whole new reality of things to check out and they gave me a great first impression with the new staff such as coach Simpson and coach Santucci.

Tennessee – Tennessee surprises me everytime i go up there and it’s just a good experience. My relationship with coach Garner and coach Chop and coach Heupel just continues to grow every week I feel like.

Alabama- Alabama has always been a top contender in my recruitment and even after coach Saban leaving they still make me feel like a priority to them. I look forward to continuing growing relationships with new people there.

USC- USC is definitely somewhere I didn’t see myself ending up, but recently after I got to know coach Nua and coach Riley, I feel like they’re building something special and that they’re on the come up. So, I wanna figure out more about them.

Ole Miss- Ole Miss really came into play late in my recruitment but I definitely got a good feel for them and want to find out more about them.
