2023 Norman (Okla.) Community Christian School four-star EDGE Bai Jobe is one of the most intriguing recruits in the cycle.

Hailing originally from Senegal, Jobe moved to the United States as an exchange student in middle school and didn’t start playing football until midway through his freshman year of high school. Still relatively new to the game, the four-star is still figuring everything out, but his upside has coaches tantalized, with schools like Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas A&M already in the mix for the 6-foot-5, 225 pound edge rusher.

The Aggies only very recently offered, and though he admitted the offer might have come a bit too late in his recruitment, he’s still intrigued by what the program has to offer.

He’s primarily been in contact with defensive ends coach Terry Price, who he’s known since camping in College Station last summer.

“I like him a lot,” he said. “Last year, I went to the camp and I feel like he was always trying to push me to go harder and harder and I liked that a lot.”

Jobe will look to make a return trip down to Texas A&M at some point this offseason, though he’s not sure on dates just yet. His first visit was primarily for the camp and he hopes to see more of the campus, talk to the coaches and explore the facilities more in-depth on his return visit.

When it comes time to make a decision, Jobe is primarily looking for development and comfort level.

“I’m just looking for somewhere I can feel like the coaches really understand me and know that I’m new at football, to teach me the game and stuff like that,” he said. “That’s all I’m looking for.”

Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia and Vanderbilt are among schools to watch in his recruitment. A recent visit to Georgia left a big impression and the four-star is excited to check out the Crimson Tide and Commodores in the near future as well. Living in Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and the Sooners naturally loom large in his recruitment and share a 33.3% chance to land the four-star per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, with Georgia trailing right behind.

He’s still unclear on a decision date, but will look to drop a top schools list in the coming months.

Jobe ranks as the No. 73 prospect and No. 9 EDGE in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks even higher in the On300, as the No. 25 prospect and No. 5 EDGE. The four-star has an NIL Valuation of $7.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
