Four-star guard Kris Parker receives pro contract offer from NBL

Quincy (Fla.) Crossroad Academy four-star recruit Kris Parker has received a professional contract from the Australian National Basketball League (NBL), a source told On3.
The dollar amount attached to the offer, as well as the length of the contract, is still unknown at this time.
Former top-ranked high school players LaMelo Ball and RJ Hampton both vouched for the NBL over the college route.
Parker, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, holds scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Illinois, St. John’s, Kansas State, Florida, Florida State, and others.

The Florida native is ranked as the No. 74 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. On3’s evaluators are slightly higher on him, ranking him as the No. 54 prospect in the country.
In a previous interview with On3’s Jamie Shaw, Parker said he’s visited Florida State. He also plans to see Illinois, Georgia, and others.
“The ultimate goal is to get to the next level, so I want to go somewhere that will help me develop,” Parker said. “I want to go somewhere that is serious about me and serious about getting better and getting me to that next level.”
Parker Scouting Summary
Kris Parker is a long and rangy wing. He has confidence on the ball in the half-court, and his ability as a shotmaker continues to rise. He will need to continue adding strength and overall sharpening his tools and shot selection. There is a lot of natural talent here, and the production has given him a consensus spot in the top 50. There is an upside still to go, and the intrigue lies with the fact he continues to get better a little better each time out.
