Orange (Calif.) El Modena offensive tackle Elishah Jackett is down to five schools, he announced Thursday afternoon on Twitter.

Jackett is the No. 366 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 25 offensive tackle and the No. 25 prospect in California.

Among his top five are: Cal, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington.

The home-state Bruins are one of the most recent programs to enter his recruitment, and he talked about them with On3’s Joseph Hastings in early March after the offer came in.

“I was kind of expecting it,” Jackett said. “Been talking with those coaches for a little while now. “They like my size, how I move, and they want me to stay out here. I’m from Orange County, L.A. area.”

One notable program not in his top schools list is USC, who he said was a top school for him back in March. Instead, both Ole Miss and Texas A&M have jumped into the main group. Washington, meanwhile, has been consistent in its pursuit and hosted him for a visit in March.

“They’re really driven, and let me know that they want me,” he added. They really develop offensive lineman, so that’s important.”

Elishah Jackett also made a visit to Ole Miss last month and is locked into an official visit with UCLA next weekend.
