The transfer portal got an addition from one of the best names in the country as Georgetown big man and former Fairfield star Supreme Cook has entered the portal, according to On3.

Cook spent three seasons at Fairfield and made the 2023 All-MAAC team before transferring last spring to Georgetown. After averaging 10 points and eight rebounds per game for GT, he’s now back in the portal ahead of his final season.

Prior to his collegiate career, Cook attended The Peddie School in New Orange, New Jersey, where he came out as an unrated player in the On3 Industry Rankings.

Georgetown makes portal addition

The transfer portal giveth and taketh, allowing Cook to slip away but also providing the opportunity for the Hoyas to land a guy like Curtis Williams, who could have some major upside.

Former Louisville guard Curtis Williams Jr. will transfer to play at Georgetown in 2024-25, he announced via X. He spent just one season with the Cardinals and will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Williams appeared in all 32 games this past season, making four starts. He averaged 5.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game while shooting 31.7% from the floor.

As a recruit, Williams was a four-star prospect coming out of Brother Rice High School in Bloomington Hills, Michigan. He ranked as the No. 96 overall player and the No. 1 player from the state of Michigan according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Williams showed off his potential by starting off ACC play with double figures in scoring for the first four games. He had his best game of the year on Feb. 3 against Florida State to finish with a season-high 19 points on 7-of-7 from the free throw line.

Curtis Williams is set to join a Georgetown team coming off of a 9-23 finish in the inaugural season for coach Ed Cooley. The Hoyas are set to return leading scorer Jayden Epps (18.5 ppg), so perhaps Williams can provide another scoring option alongside him as they hope for better results this coming year.

Williams was one of five Louisville players to enter the transfer portal this offseason after the Cardinals parted ways with coach Kenny Payne. Louisville went a combined 12-52 the past two seasons under Payne and is ready to begin a new era under Pat Kelsey in 2024-25.
