Carrollton (Ga.) four-star athlete Ryan Mosley gave strong consideration to schools like Alabama, Nebraska, South Carolina and Texas A&M, but everything he was looking for was at Georgia – a school in his home state.

“Georgia has the education, it is close to home, I have the relationships and they have the best coaching staff,” Mosley told On3. “Georgia has what I am looking for in a school. They have been recruiting me hard, I know all of the coaches and I have been there so many times… it feels like home.”

Mosley has visited Athens too many times to count. He was back a little over a week ago for his official visit and that visit, combined with one earlier this year pushed him to this decision.

“It started on the visit I was on for a Junior Day in January. That is really when I started to think about the commitment. The way I feel at Georgia is different. The relationship I have with the Georgia coaches is better than with any other staff. I like a lot of coaches at different schools, but my connection with coach Smart, coach Coley, T-Rob (Travaris Robinson) and most of the staff is so strong.

“They make me feel like part of the family already. Georgia’s coaches are close, the players are close and I have a great bond with a lot of them. It is what I want to be a part of.”

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound playmaker is being recruited primarily to play wide receiver at Georgia. He could get a look at safety too. He is ranked the No. 8 athlete and No. 163 overall prospect in the On300. The new commit is excited about what he is going to be a part of in Athens.

“I love the brand of ball Georgia plays,” Mosley said. “It is an elite coaching staff, they have elite players and everyone makes everyone better at Georgia. Georgia coaches like an NFL team, they compete hard and it is the best in the country. What they do and how they do it is what I want to do on the next level.”
