Georgia safety Dana Greenhow commits to Purdue: ‘This was the best move for me’

Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek three-star safety Dana Greenhow only started to get recruited by Purdue in late spring. But the Boilermakers pursued him “hard.”
That effort paid off for the Big Ten program, as Greenhow has committed to Purdue after his official visit this past weekend.
“I felt that this was the best move for me,” Greenhow told On3. “At Purdue, I can play in a very good system where I can be used best based on my game. The environment is a great place where I can focus on school and football. The coaches showed me how and where I would be used in the system early on.”
Greenhow will play nickelback for the Boilermakers. The 5-foot-10.5, 170-pound defensive back had a home visit with Purdue coaches that went great.
Greenhow has also been to West Lafayette. The No. 125 player in Georgia enjoyed his time seeing the Boilermakers’ campus.

“My first visit up there went very well,” said Greenhow, On3’s No. 104 safety in the country. “I loved the atmosphere and the coaches there.”
Greenhow has bonded with defensive backs coach Charles Clark. The two already have a good relationship.
“Me and coach Clark are close,” Greenhow said. “He’s shown me a lot of love since day one and has shown me how hard he wants me. Knowing his background and the production in his room showed me a lot.”
