Hayden Assemian is the No. 150 player in the 2025 On3 150. The 6-foot-6 forward recently transferred to Powdersville (SC) High after a strong summer with Team CP3 on Nike’s EYBL E16 Circuit.

“I play really physically,” Assemian told On3. “I crash the boards really hard, have a good touch, I play strong on the defensive side. I’ll really just try to give my all to impact the game all over the floor. My motor kicked up this summer, and my defense. I’m guarding multiple positions and able to have more of an impact on my team. I watch a lot of Anthony Davis, how he scores the ball and impacts the game.”

On3 caught up with Hayden Assemian recently to talk about his recruitment.

Assemian talks recruitment

“I have offers from Wake Forest and South Carolina,” Assemian said. “I also have George Mason, Western Carolina, Hampton, and App State.”

South Carolina: “Coach (Lamont) Paris said he knows the guys that can help him win games, and they like to play positionless basketball. He likes that I can play three through five at any time. They like my motor and how hard I play the whole game, no matter how the game is going.

“I’m from South Carolina, and I grew up knowing about the school, but actually going there on a visit really opened my eyes to the kind of culture they have there. They are all about family and about making you the best man you can be.”

Wake Forest: “Our conversations are great. I like that they play through their forwards, and they also like how hard I play and finish at the rim no matter what. I talk with coach BJ McKie, and we got a good relationship. I’m planning to take a visit there.”

Assemian’s bloodlines

Hayden Assemian’s dad, Elvis Assemian, is originally from the Ivory Coast and came to the United States to play D2 basketball. Assemian is also a former quarterback, earlier in his high school career. Prior to putting his full focus on basketball, he carried an offer from Virginia Tech, among others

In his words

“I want to build a relationship with the coaches and the staff,” Assemian said. “Go somewhere that will develop me as a person as well as somewhere where my family and I think that I can best grow and potentially make it to the NBA. I want to know that I can go to a school and be good in life, and also develop for the next level. Play for a coach that I know has the player’s best interest.”
