High school football game stopped at halftime after 96-0 lead

IMG Academy is a nationally-ranked powerhouse football team.

Six of their players rank inside the top 100 of the 2023 Consensus, including three five-star recruits in Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa, Chesapeake (Va.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Desmond Ricks and St. Louis (Mo.) IMG Academy five-star EDGE Samuel M’Pemba.

Among the 2024 class, eight IMG players are ranked in the top 100 of the 2024 On3 Consensus.

But eve with all that talent, Friday’s result against West Toronto Prep is still jaw-dropping.

IMG Academy scored 96 points in the first half. The game was called at halftime, giving IMG Academy the 96-0 win over West Toronto Prep.

IMG Academy was up 57-0 at the end of the first quarter. They scored their 57 points in a variety of ways: touchdown runs, touchdown passes, fumble recoveries in the end zone, a blocked punts recovered in the end zone and a safety.

The second quarter better as IMG scored only 39 points on five touchdowns and two safeties.

In total, IMG finished with three safeties, four defensive touchdowns, five touchdown runs and four touchdown passes. They missed one PAT.
