On3 MVP: Five-Star Plus+ PF Cameron Boozer (2025)

While this was not the typical Cameron Boozer game where his production was through the roof, however, his effectiveness was still felt immensely. The 6-foot-9 power forward battled down low, making his presence felt on the block. Boozer is an excellent rebounder, in and out of his area. He has strong hands and high points the basketball. He is also a very good positional, team defender. Understanding angles and walling up around the basket. His ability to make plays and his instincts make plays that he does not even need to score with. He was a force during the second half, making plays around the basket and on the defensive end. There is a steady nature to his performances that positively affects the game. Boozer finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds, going 4-11 from the field.

2. 3-star CG Kayden Mingo (2025)

Kayden Mingo has had an excellent high school season to this point, and his progression was observed by jumping up to No. 90 in the most recent 2025 On3 150 update. Mingo is an aggressive point-of-attack guard. Listed at 6-foot-3, Mingo is comfortable playing on or off the ball, but he has a propensity for finishing plays. Mingo plays good on-the-ball defense, using toughness and quick feet. He has also continued to develop his jump shot, showing consistent range on the jump shot.

3. 4-star F Nik Khamenia (2025)

While Nik Khamenia did not have a flashy game, it was very efficient and to the point. The 6-foot-7 forward simply knows how to play. He had a matchup against Five-Star Plus+ 2024 forward Ace Bailey. Defensively, Khamenia held Bailey to 10-24 shooting from the field. He did a good job cutting off lanes and showing anticipation. While Khamenia might not be the quickest, he has a natural feel. Offensively, Khamenia used pace and feel to get to spots in the half-court. While going 0-5 from three, he finished around the basket and with floaters in the paint. You like the versatility he brings to the table, as a quick processor. He finished with a team-high 21 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in the overtime win.

4. 4-star SG Darren Harris (Duke)

Darren Harris is one of the top shooters in the country, and his Fairfax (VA) Paul VI team does a good jump of consistently running sets that get him looks. Harris has a quick release with excellent balance. He does a good job getting into his shot-off movement and getting his frame squared. Harris is a high-IQ basketball player, playing within himself and not doing things he cannot. While he is not a great self-creator, he is a good processor and moves the ball well when his shot is not there. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard finished with 16 points and four assists going 4-10 from three.

5. Five-Star Plus+ F Ace Bailey (Rutgers)

The flashes that Ace Bailey shows are electric. He is a tough-shot maker, and his size and high release can be very tough to defend. Most of what Bailey shoots are off-balance stepbacks, and he connects for some big scoring outputs. While the made shots were interesting, his work on the boards was the most impressive part of his game today. His competitive nature showed as Bailey used every bit of his 6-foot-9 frame to collect on the boards. Bailey finished the game with a game-high 23 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocks. He was 10-24 from the field and 1-7 from three.

6. 4-star PG Jase Richardson (Michigan State)

Jase Richardson plays at a fast pace and has shown this week he is capable of ringing off a lot of points quickly. Richardson, who is in his first season with Miami (FL) Christopher Columbus High, has quickly gained chemistry with Cameron and Cayden Boozer. He has a quick, and crafty handle that gets him to dangerous spots in the halfcourt. Richardson also has touch that can extend out to the three-point line. Richardson plays with a consistent pace and the utmost confidence. He finished with 21 points on 7-11 from the field. He added six rebounds and four assists.

7. 4-star PG Darius Acuff (2025)

Darius Acuff continues to put up stats. The volume lead guard is a shot-maker who is capable of getting to dangerous areas of the floor, off the bounce. At 6-foot-1, Acuff liked getting out on the break and putting pressure on the defense. While he can struggle at times with the second level of the defense, he has a crafty handle that gets him past the initial defense. Acuff also has range on his jump shot with a quick release and he plays with the utmost confidence. Despite a 65-49 loss, Acuff finished with 25 points and five rebounds.

8. Five-Star Plus+ CG VJ Edgecombe (Baylor)

VJ Edgecombe committed to Baylor yesterday and came out today with another steady, high-level performance. Edgecombe showed some shot-making ability knocking down a three and a couple of two-dribble pull-ups. Defensively, Edgecombe brings it every game. He has a quick-twitch explosion to go with his length, but he also was a want-to on that end. Good things seem to happen around Edgecombe when he is on the floor. He finished this one with

Other Hoop Hall Classic Top Performers

Five-Star Plus+ SG Tre Johnson (Texas) is a skilled scorer. What really sticks out with him is his footwork. He plays in the half-court with great balance and takes a minimalistic approach to his offensive game. He showed some good passing ability today and some solid stuff in the mid-post in the big win. Johnson finished with 15 points.

4-star PG Cayden Boozer (2025) is as solid a point-of-attack lead guard as there is in his class. The 6-foot-3 Boozer defends the ball and he moves it well. Boozer attacks the basket in straight lines and he made a couple of mid-range pull-ups in today’s win. Boozer finished with 17 points, seven assists, and two steals.

4-star SG Jordan Smith (2026) is a tough player, and that is where a lot of his production comes from. The 6-foot-3 guard has become a lot more comfortable on the ball, getting downhill and making a play. He is a physical presence and an explosive athlete. The sophomore finished with 17 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

4-star SF Isaiah Abraham (UConn) has a great frame and carries a lot of athletic explosion. He is strong and that is projectable with more of a physical ceiling without losing mobility. He made his mark in this one on the defensive end, guarding up a lineup and making things tough for Cameron Boozer. Abraham showed some shot-making flashes as well. He finished with ten points and four rebounds.

4-star SG Vyctorius Miller (Oregon) plays a comfortable game, able to make things happen on or off the ball. He has a good frame at 6-foot-4, and he has a consistent jump shot release from multiple levels on the floor. Miller was steady, finishing with

4-star PF Sammie Yeanay (Arizona State) is a physical presence with great length and a strong frame. He is a vocal communicator on defense and an active rebounder in his area. Yeanay is comfortable at the high post and can knock down a three with his feet set.

3-star PG Jaye Nash (uncommitted 2024) touched the paint regularly and was able to finish plays with consistency. He is a strong-framed lead guard and has good pace with a quick first step. He finished with 15 points and five assists.

3-star PG Nigel James (2025) is a straw that stirs the drink type of point guard. While he might not be the one finishing plays, he is the one that gets things started. James is a good on-ball defender with quick feet and hands. He can penetrate the defense, and touch the paint consistently.

4-star SG Jasper Johnson (2025) has deep range on the jump shot. Playing off Tre Johnson and Labaron Philon, Johnson is capable of stretching the floor because you have to stay attached beyond 30 feet. When the ball swings back around and he is in one-on-one coverage, he can get downhill and has a crafty finishing package around the basket with his left hand. He finished with 14 points after knocking down three threes.
