Legacy DL recruit Blake Smythe commits to Indiana

Franklin (Ind.) Community defensive line prospect Blake Smythe announced his commitment to head coach Curt Cignetti and Indiana on Friday.
The Hoosiers beat out Michigan State, Purdue and Wisconsin among others for the legacy prospect.
“I feel like they have a great thing going and (it’s great) to keep the Smythe legacy in Bloomington,” he said.
“My grandpa played for Lee Corso and was a team captain and my grandma was a cheerleader there. I feel like Coach Cig has everything moving in the right direction so we can go win a Natty.”
The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Smythe becomes commit No. 7 for Cignetti and the Hoosiers in the 2026 class. He also chose Indiana over offers from Louisville and Illinois.
