NOTE ABOUT MODERATOR ACTIONS When posters violate the below board rules or the Terms & Conditions, moderators will do their best to adhere to the following steps (flagrant violations excepted):

1. Warning on the forum within the post.
2. Temporary ban. Reinstatement with PM or e-mail to an admin or moderator. Their information is down below.
3. Any further violations will be left to IC’s discretion.

BOARD RULES

1. Criticize Play, Not Player. Critical comments about UNC sports are allowed. Personal attacks on players, coaches, recruits are not.
2. Discuss Post, Not Poster. This prevents discussions from getting personal. Attacking other posters will not be tolerated.
3. Watch The Language. Profanity or other inappropriate language is not acceptable. Profanity abbreviations and acronyms are also not permitted.
4. Stay On Topic. No politics, no religion on the sports message boards. Racial, ethnic, homophobic and sexual slurs are grounds for immediate dismissal.
5. Threats = Ban. Any form of physical threat (even in jest) against a fellow poster or public figure can be grounds for an immediate banning.
6. Don’t Spam. You’re entitled to your opinion, but keep it to relevant threads. If you take it to unrelated threads, that will be considered spamming an agenda, which derails threads.
7. Don’t Bait. Do not try to irritate other posters or stir up a controversial topic. This is a community.
8. Don’t Judge Fans. It is not for you to decide who is a worthy fan. Everyone approaches fanhood differently and they are allowed to do so and not be called into question for it. But if you’re a rival fan, note you will be held to a shorter leash by the moderators.
9. Equal Treatment. The same rules apply to all posters, regardless of post count or experience. Bullying or hazing of posters is not allowed.
10. Contact Moderators. If you have a problem with a post or poster, the proper response is to PM the moderators or contact the IC staff. Do not retaliate. The list of them in down below.
11. On3 utilizes a tracking system that enforces penalties such as three-day bans or one-year bans for users who repeatedly violate the rules.  Individuals who require frequent warnings may be subject to automatic timeouts or bans through the On3 system. (added July 31st, 2025)

— Do not post copyrighted material on this forum. If you wish to discuss material that is elsewhere you can post the URL of the material.

— Please do not use our forums to promote your product or company. If you are interested in advertising, please contact our advertising department.

— Rumor Policy: The IC staff will lock a thread if the info is confirmed as false, but don’t interpret an unlocked thread as the IC staff confirming the info, since IC can’t possibly confirm or deny every rumor, or do background checks on every poster who claims to be providing inside info. So judge for yourself what posts and posters are credible – and if you disagree with the info provided, do so respectfully. On the other side, if you’re going to proclaim to be an “insider” or post rumors, realize the ramifications (for you and those involved) of posting info on a very public forum.

— We have created a Ticket Exchange forum in order to help facilitate UNC fans selling and buying tickets from one another. Please keep all ticket request posts to the Ticket Exchange forum. IC is not liable for any issues involving that forum.

— With the existence of the premium forum for the discussion of premium content, we ask that discussion of these articles remain on that forum and not on the main forum – which otherwise would defeat the purpose of providing premium content.

— All forum rules apply to inbox private messaging. Any forum rule violation occurring within inbox messaging is subject to disciplinary action.

— Do not register multiple usernames. If a moderator finds you are using more than one username, that is grounds for banning of all your accounts.

— In-game posts — be it in game threads or game chats — still fall under the forum rules. If you can’t control your emotions enough to follow forum rules, we advise you to stay off the forum during, and immediately following, a game. During a game, posters are asked to keep keep all in-game discussion to the game threads.

— InsideCarolina is not a NCAA compliance office and can’t force adherence to booster rules (UNC fans cannot contact recruits!), but will make sure such rules violations stay off the forums. Click here for the full list of booster regulations.
