Oklahoma Five-Star Plus+ quarterback signee Jackson Arnold played the entirety of the first half in this year’s Under Armour All-American Bowl and finally found the end zone late in the second quarter.

Down 14-0 with 1:36 remaining in the first half, Arnold connected with three-star Utah signee Mikey Matthews in the corner of the end zone for the 23-yard touchdown to put Team Speed on the board.

“I just saw Mikey 1-on-1,” Arnold told ESPN’s broadcast. “All he can is play is man but Mikey has been really consistent in practice. I saw him 1-on-1 and I knew I had to take it.”

Arnold committed to Oklahoma on January 24, 2021 and remained committed to the Sooner through the first day of the Early Signing Period.

The 6-foot-1, 198-pound Arnold is the No. 8 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Texas.

“This week has improved me a lot as a player,” Arnold said when asked about what this last week has done for him. “Not only that, but it’s given me a glimpse into what college ball is going to be like. Everyone here is going D1 and everyone here is the best of the best so playing with these guys early on is only going to help me in the future.”
