4-star C Jaden Toombs updates his recruitment

Jaden Toombs is the No. 31 ranked player in the 2025 On3 Consensus. The 6-foot-10 post averaged nearly 9.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks for his Drive Nation team on Nike’s EYBL 16u Circuit in July.
“I have great touch, and I feel like I’m very versatile,” Toombs told On3. “My footwork in the post is good, and my range goes out beyond the three-point line. I move pretty well on defense and can guard multiple positions. I like Drew Timme and Nikola Jokic; they’re just tough. They’re not the most athletic guys, but they go out there and play hard. You’re going to know them when they leave. That’s how I want to be.”
On3 caught up with Jaden Toombs after a recent live viewing to get an update on where his recruitment is at.
Toombs talks recruitment
“I have offers right now from LSU and SMU,” Toombs said.
LSU: “They have a good program; they’re winning. They play really hard, and that fits my game.

SMU: “They play fast, and they’re tough. I haven’t visited yet, but from what they’re saying to me, I think I could fit into that system.
“We hear some from Oregon, but they haven’t offered yet,” Toombs said. “I’m probably going to start going on some visits here soon, see some campuses. I don’t have any set yet.”
In his words
“I want to go to a school where I can touch the ball,” Toombs said. “Where the system feeds the big men and lets them make plays. Ultimately, a school where I can play hard and assert my dominance. I can pass and shoot it too, so I want to play for a coach that lets me be that and win.”
