Jaiden Glover jumped to No. 39 in the recent 2024 On3 150 update. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is averaging a team-leading 14.7 points on just over 36 percent from three for the NY Jayhawks program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.

“I’m an all-around type player, a swiss-army-knife,” Glover told On3. “I can really shoot it, I play defense, guard the ball. I’ve been lifting a lot, really getting stronger, and I can see that in my game. I watch a lot of Devin Booker with his creativity in the mid-range and around the basket.”

On3 caught up with four-star Jaiden Glover recently to talk about his recruitment.

Glover talks visits

“I haven’t been on any official visits yet,” Glover said. “We’ll do an official visit to St. John’s. We’re looking to do one with Creighton soon, too. We don’t have the exact dates set yet.”

St. John’s: “I mean, it’s my hometown. Rick Pitino is a huge part for me. They’ve been one of my biggest recruiters since I was in the eighth grade at Iona and just picked it up when he went to St. John’s. They love how I shoot and my athleticism. They think I fit in with the type of two-way player they’re trying to bring in.”

Creighton: “I like how they play. They have an NBA style, spread the floor, and play with a lot of high and side pick and rolls. They’re always one of the leading scoring teams in the Big East, and they give their wings freedom to shoot and make plays. I talk all the time with them, Coach DK (Derek Kellogg); we talk about everything, basketball, life, everything.”

Glover talks recruitment

“For real, all the schools I talk to are schools that have offered me,” Glover said. “I hear from Illinois a good bit. I took an unofficial visit to Villanova, too.”

Illinois: “They have a couple of players in the NBA Draft Combine (Coleman Hawkins and Terrence Shannon Jr.), which stands out. They play up and down, give their guards freedom.”

Villanova: “The way they develop their players stood out for me. I love how they develop. Look at all the guys right now they have in the NBA, guys who play my position.”

In his words

“I don’t really have a time frame for any decisions,” Glover said. “I’ll probably be one of the last ones to sign, to be honest.

“I want to be a factor my freshman year. I’m going to be looking for an NBA-style system. I’m trying to get to the league, and that is really the main point. I want to go to a program that will develop me.

“I think the play style that fits me best is an up-and-down style. Playing fast-paced for a coach that allows a lot of three-point shooting because I’m a good shooter.
