Following the side-swiping accident that left his Corvette totaled, Sam Williams was lucky to escape without major injuries. The accident did, however, lead to the Plano Police Department issuing a warrant for Williams.

However, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t expect this warrant is going to affect his availability for the Cowboys’ playoff game on Monday.

During an appearance on 105.3 The FAN, Jones made it clear that even though Sam Williams has a reckless driving arrest warrant out, it shouldn’t impact his ability to travel to Florida and take on Tampa Bay.

That’s good news for the Cowboys, as they’ll need Sam Williams to harass the veteran Tom Brady all game long if they’re going to beat Tampa Bay.

Along with the relatively minor injuries that Sam Williams suffered, a concussion and neck strain, the other party was also transported to the hospital.

It is a misdemeanor warrant that has been issued for Williams.

Sam Williams is thankful he’s still here

After the scary car accident, Sam Williams admitted that his first thought is that he’s thankful to still be here.

“My first thing was like, ‘Thank you God.’ It could’ve been worse. I was thinking about my son a lot, and his mom. I could’ve been gone that fast, without seeing them to say goodbye… I was going home to them — like five or six minutes from my house,” Sam Williams said.

“I look back over it and I’m just thankful for life, and Christmas was [near] and the biggest gift we have is life. You never know so I encourage everyone to hug your loved ones. Any dispute you have with family members, anything, just end it because you never know when that day is, and me going through that, I called my mama and family members — everybody to check on them. That was an accident, but there are more things going on in the world and I’m just thankful that I’m still here. You’re looking at the [totaled] car like, man, but God works in mysterious ways. I know He has something in store for me.”
