San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon three-star wide receiver JeyQuan Smith revealed his top three schools on Wednesday afternoon. They are Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Smith is the No. 768 overall prospect and No. 104 wide receiver in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 59 player in California.

On3 rates the 5-foot-9, 160-pound wideout higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though Smith is not ranked in the 2023 On300, he is the No. 72 wide receiver and No. 40 player in California.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between the Utes (51%) and the Huskies (44.7%) for his commitment. The Ducks have the third-best odds at 1.2%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Smith has made official visits to two of his three finalists. Washington got one on Sept. 3 and he traveled to Utah on Oct. 1.

The California native has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

JeyQuan Smith On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for JeyQuan Smith:

“Smaller wide receiver who is one of the fastest prospects on the West Coast. A threat to score every time he touches the ball. Easily out-runs opposing defenses, obliterating angles and turning on the jets in the open field. Backs up the on-field speed on the track, where he runs in the 10.5 second range in the 100 meters.

“Touches the ball in several ways for his high school – takes speed sweeps and short passes for long gains. Does most of his damage after the catch, but shows the ability to go up and get the ball with his arms extended. Size is unverified – is on the smaller side as a receiver. Not as productive or targeted as often as most other blue-chip receivers as a junior.”
