It’s been a busy Tuesday on the recruiting front for fast-rising junior receiver Andre Davis of Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley.

Andre Davis, who is 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, already had a long list of offers from Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State. But on Tuesday, Davis added two Big 10 offers from Iowa and Minnesota.

With the new offers, Davis has officially become the hottest underclass recruit in the Sunflower State.

Davis is fired up to have those five offers. But don’t be surprised if more start pouring in.

That’s especially true after Davis had a big junior season that saw him rack up more than 740 yards receiving, three touchdowns and averaged 16.3 yards a reception.

Andre Davis’ season ended in a playoff upset against Blue Valley West beat the Tigers. Yet, that should diminish the excellent season he had.

Davis’ father is Willie Davis, who played in the NFL for eight seasons. Davis played his sophomore season at Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point.

Andre Davis latest KC target for Iowa, Minnesota

Both Iowa and Minnesota have had recruiting success in Kansas City in the past.

In the 2022 class, Iowa has a commitment from three-star linebacker Caden Crawford out of Lansing, Kan. Four-star offensive tackle Beau Stephens of Blue Springs, Mo., and four-star athlete Arland Bruce IV out of Olathe (Kan.) North were a part of the 2019 class.

Going back to 2020, Iowa also landed another Blue Valley player – three-star offensive tackle Mason Richman.

In 2020, Minnesota signed four-star receiver Daniel Jackson out of Mission (Kan.) Bishop Miege and three-star offensive tackle Aireontae Ersery of Kansas City Ruskin. They have yet to land a commitment in the 2022 class. But the Golden Gophers have multiple offers out to KC area kids and look to be back in the 2023 class.
